We have 2 broody hens setting on a total of 13 eggs (mix breeds) and another 24 in an incubator (my first time using an incubator).

Also, we have another dozen eggs to put under a broody hen, this week.

Yesterday and this morning, 2 Black Langshan Mamas hatched 8 Appenzeller spitzhauben chicks and are now co-parenting ♥️. 3 of the 8 are under a mommy.

Hatch date between 6-22-23 (afternoon) and 6-23-23 (7pm)

3rd attempt at hatching Black Langshans, this time from a breeder in CA.

6 chicks so far🙌🎉♥️ and another pipping right now.
