Slow mornings, sunshine, and breakfast with friends. ☀️🦌🦆🐓

The chickens aren’t the only ones who love Kalmbach Feeds feed around here. The young white-tailed bucks and even the local mallard duck stop by every morning for a snack.

Some days farm life feels a little bit magical.

We added these tiny Silkie babies from wEGGscott Coop 2.0 to our bantam coop and I am absolutely dying over the cuteness 😭 Two and three weeks old and somehow even fluffier than I remembered. I forgot just how ridiculously adorable these little puffballs are. Tiny feet, big personalities, and enough floof to completely steal the show.

these days all I do is feed baby chickens 🐥☼ currently running on chick dust, tiny peeps, and refilling feeders every five minutes. featuring our current favorite Chickhouse Reserve feed because apparently raising a small dinosaur army is a full time job now ✶

🥚 Hatching Eggs Available 🥚

I have 3 dozen hatching eggs available for pickup this week from our flock here at Elchwiese Farm in Bonney Lake, WA.

These eggs may include:
• Backcross Olive Eggers
• Welsummers
• Marans (Splash, Blue, BCM, Wheaten)
• Olive Eggers
• Whiting True Blues

Expect a colorful assortment with the potential for deep browns, olives, speckles, blues, and unique feather patterns throughout the hatch. Our focus is on beautiful egg color, variety, and healthy, hardy birds rather than guaranteed purebred pairings.

Local pickup only. Please message for details and availability. 🐣

Some of this morning’s little treasures 🤎🥚
I still can’t get over how tiny pieces of art can come from a chicken coop every single day.

Just a little sunshine and happy chickens to wish you a good day ☀️🤎
Life feels softer out here on the farm.

I’ve been using KalmbachKalmbach Feeds, Inc.or my flock and the difference has been huge. My chickens do well on the Henhouse Reserve, but the Love Bug mix has been a game changer… they literally leave nothing behind.

Quality ingredients matter to me, and so does what I feed my chickens.

If your flock is picky, this might be something to look into.

It’s your story 🤍

The quiet mornings.
The hum of wings you almost miss if you’re not paying attention.
The tiny moments that don’t seem big… but somehow become everything.

Out here, life feels slower. Softer. More intentional.
A reminder that you get to choose how your story is lived, felt, and remembered.

Even in the smallest moments… it’s still yours.

They grow so fast it almost doesn’t feel real. One minute they’re tiny, sleepy fluff balls fitting in your palm… and the next they’re stretching, feathering out, and showing little glimpses of who they’re going to become 🐥✨

Every single chick is different. Their colors shift, their personalities come out, and their feathers slowly replace that soft down like a full transformation happening right in front of you.

It’s one of my favorite parts of raising them… watching them become themselves 🤍
