The negative side of CWD is so small, compared to other disease in our deer herds. Cars kill more deer in one month than CWD has in 20 years. Do the research.

Pictured is Dr James Kroll filming a segment on EHD. Notice the EHD map and how it differs from the CWD map.
I would venture to say EHD killed more cervids last year than CWD has in the last 10 years combined. EHD comes from a midge fly biting the deer and CWD is an old age disease in deer. Thus almost all deer that contract it die of something else before it threatens the animal. With EHD it can kill a mature healthy deer within 24 hours.
