Rawhide Ranch was founded in 1963 by the Chown family. There were 36 acres with only 3 buildings at that time: a tractor shed, pig barn, and . Clarence Chown had a vision and quickly got to work. For years, he worked to create an old western town, complete with Hotel, Saloon, Chapel, Horse Palace, Main Street, etc. As the years passed, the ranch grew. It even once housed a Vocational College, but
for the longest time of it's history it has been a children's horse camp, where kid's come for a week at a time in Summer, as well as midweek and weekends during the school year. Through it's 50+ years of existence, it has always remained one thing; a place that changes you and helps you to grow, by instilling the values that we refer to as CHIRP: creating a caring community, hard work, integrity, respect for others, and personal growth. Throughout the years Rawhide has hosted a handful of weddings and events, with the hope to host more as we continue to let people know about our little town. We can host weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, team building workshops, and retreats. Contact us for more information.
