When feeding rabbits without pellets, variety is key.
Here are some things we feed our rabbits, all harvested from our property.
Grass (lots of Timothy and orchard)
Comfrey
Dandelion
Red clover
White clover
Sunchokes/Jerusalem artichokes (aerial parts)
Sunflowers
Raspberry leaves
Mallow(cheeseweed/malva neglecta)
Chicory
Plantain (broadleaf and longleaf)
Mulberry leaves
Spotted knapweed
Catnip
Peppermint
Spearmint
Stinging nettles (wilted)
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)
Annual culinary herbs (basil, Sage, time, etc)
Asparagus
Lamb's quarters (Chenopodium album)
Mullein
I'm sure I've forgotten something that I won't remember until it starts growing for the season.
NOTE/DISCLAIMER: The above items are generally considered safe for rabbits, however please do your research. Many things should be fed in moderation, some things may have unsafe parts of the plant (ie seeds or fruits), some may have unsafe stages of growth (ie after a frost, overgrown, fresh vs wilted, etc)
