As we look back on the Iowa State Fair Dairy Goat Show, there are a lot of people to thank that make the show a success.

First, we need to thank our Dairy Goat Superintendent Beth Buscher Konen. Thank you for all of your hours of hard work and for putting up with all of us exhibitors with our questions and requests. You handled it all with patience and grace and we sincerely appreciate everything you do.

Next we need to thank our Show Secretary Janice Schwennen and our ring steward Jerry Schwennen. Janice has been the Show Secretary for over 40 years and does an amazing job, from late night check-ins to all day record keeping- thank you! Somehow, Jerry keeps track of all of the goats coming into the ring, all day, and does so with a friendly smile. For new and seasoned exhibitors, that smile helps calm the nerves. Thank you both for everything!

Thank you to the ISF Dairy Goat 4H and FFA Supervisor, Kyle Smith for youth check-in and keeping track of all of the youth exhibitors, and for announcing the open show.

We can't forget to thank the Iowa State Fair Livestock Patrol who keep things moving at unload and load out. I'm sure it is a thankless job and we appreciate it.

Lastly, we want to thank our fellow exhibitors. The dairy goat world is small and after 6 years of showing goats, we feel that so many of you are like family. I sincerely look forward to the ISF because it brings us together for several days and give us an opportunity to talk about goats and life and stay up way too late and get up way too early. Thank you all and we hope to see you soon!

We had another great day at the Iowa State Fair. CH Heaven's Hollow Encore was awarded Grand Champion, Best of Breed and Best Udder of Breed! Heaven's Hollow Lovely Celine won Reserve Champion, and Wolfivan Chickweed was 1st place milking yearling.

We also had the 1st place Nigerian Dwarf herd, second place daughter Dam with Encore and Heaven's Hollow Ovation, and second place Breeders Trio. At the end of the show, we were awarded Nigerian Dwarf Premier Exhibitor.

Big thanks for Autumn Wild, and Braden McKasson for helping show our senior goats!

We had a great day at the Iowa State Fair. Emma started today winning Senior Showmanship.

In the Junior show, Emma won Grand Champion with JMW Acres UF Hell On Heels. We also had class wins with Heaven's Hollow Ovation and JMW Acres UF Kyle. The rest of the crew placed well in their classes, too.

We had the first place Junior Get of Sire with CH Two Dogs Farm PSI Uncle Fester: Hell on Heels, Choosin' Texas, and Kyle.

Thank you Autumn Wild and the Jass kids for being amazing showmen for our animals! We couldn't do it without you!

We ended the day by providing a goat for the celebrity milking competition.

We continue to be blessed. Tomorrow is the Senior Doe show!

The 4H/FFA Dairy Goat Show was this morning.
Emma showed 3 juniors and 3 seniors. She ended the day with Junior Champion and Reserve Junior Champion, Senior Champion, Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf, and Reserve Senior Showman. Tomorrow and Saturday will be the Open Show.

Encore and I have decided that we are tired of this heat and humidity. Lets hope Iowa gets this weather out of her system before the State Fair!

We had a great day at the Quad State Classic Dairy Goat Show this weekend. Its always a well run show in a great facility. The highlight was Emma winning Senior Showmanship and we have a new finished Champion in the barn. Heaven's Hollow Encore won Grand Champion in the second ring to make her a finished Champion! We absolutely love everything about this doe and cannot thank Heaven's Hollow enough for letting her come live with us.

Our other 3 milkers also did well, with Wolfivan Chickweed getting 1st place yearling milker in all 3 rings. She's is going to be something special.

Our doe kids did well, with class wins by JMW Acres UF Kyle in one ring and getting second in another. Heaven's Hollow Wray OSunshine won her class in 2 rings and went on to win Reserve Champion in both of those rings.

It was great to visit with friends and we are looking forward to the Iowa State Fair!

We've finally decided which kids we are keeping, so these three are available. All are out of CH Farm Wildwood Maverick. All are disbudded, registered, and ready to go! 250/each

Please forgive Goldiwatts' haircut. She decided she was done, so we did too!

I also have 2, 6 week old bucklings with horns if someone wants a very cheap pet wether.
