Johnson's Custom Meats is a small family run slaughter house and custom butcher shop. We began operation in 2008 to supply a need as there was no other business of this type in our area. We are inspected annually and have always received a high score. We accept field dressed elk and deer 7 days a week during their hunting seasons. We will skin it, slice it, grind it, and vac-pac it per your instru
ctions. In 2015 we also began making deer jerky if you choose to have some made with your deer. We will also accept your live hog or beef by appointment. Please call ahead a few days before you want your farm animal slaughtered and we will give you the next available date. WE ACCEPT FARM ANIMALS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Bring us your live beef or hog on your appointed date and we will tell you when you can pick up your meat vacuum packed and ready to go in the freezer. We will hang your beef in our cooler for up to 10 days for aging before processing. We also have a retail shop where we sell quality pork products. Our best seller is our country sausage. Our sausage is made using recipes similar to the ones used by our forefathers when they raised and slaughtered their own hogs each fall to feed their family. People also compliment us for our platter bacon. It's has a nice smoky flavor and it's usually sliced a little thicker than the bacon that's in the grocery store.
