Unfortunately, I had to return Brantz yesterday to Plaugher Simmental's. However, I was treated with a pasture walk that turned a trying day into a much better one.
I was warned as Randy lead Brantz up the road, with the crazy bull following behind on a loose line like a horse, "be ready to be impressed". Well, I was, and then some. The pictures don't do justice.
Randy has one of the most unique, small herd of cows you'll find....due to his years of selective AI breeding to various unique Fleckvieh bulls.
Most would blame me for being biased, but I can truly say Randy's calf crop is one of the best I've seen...I am both humbled and excited

Look for their genetics at the Magnolia Classic in Starkville at Little Creek Farm, Saturday, October 22!

An example of if what we've been able to do at Vantage Point with very limited breeding of the Angus x Fleckvieh Cross. The heifer is out of VPFS Brantz 12B, and is low percentage Angus, while the bull is a true first cross embryo calf out of an OCC cow and Crossroad Radium 789U. While we love our Full-Fleck, a herd of these would certainly be ok as well!

As we are quickly reaching semen selection time for fall and then spring breeding seasons keep us in mind with our offering of VPFS Brantz 12B. This polled,moderate framed, easy calving, and easy fleshing bull is breeding true, producing some high quality offspring! Look for a few of them if you can make it to the annual Magnolia Classic Production Sale in Starkville, MS! In addition, we will have Little Creek Xpress, Crossroad Radium, and progeny from many other top Fleckvieh and Red Angus bulls there for viewing. And, of course, there will be a select group of animals and genetics offered for sale from ourselves at Little Creek/Vantage Point, and some of the finest breeders of Fleck/Fleck based genetics in North America!

A whole lot going on for us right now, but we still find time to enjoy our cattle. This picture of VPFS Callie 10C says a lot. These Crossroad Radium offspring have and are doing a phenomenal job for us...they are sound minded ( except when teenage attitudes clash...haha!) and are about as good in type and kind as you'll find. Look for Callie, Cassie, Carley, and Dixie in Louisville! There certainly may be some special appearance Fleck and Fleck-Effect Bulls as well from LCF/VPF 👍
