Beef Day is every day. 🐄🥩 But once a year, we get to celebrate it at the New York State Fair!
Today, I got to do exactly that as part of my full-time job—celebrating New York’s beef producers, helping share their stories, and connecting consumers with the people behind the beef they enjoy.
One of the highlights was having a longtime beef producer I’ve worked with sit down for an interview and share his story. Of course, we also had some fun along the way… because apparently Beef Day requires cow ears. 🐮😂
Grateful for the opportunity to do work I love and spend the day celebrating beef, the people who raise it, and the industry we’re proud to represent. ❤️

County fair week is officially underway! 💙🎡

Addison entered six projects in this year's exhibits, so we kicked off the morning setting up Sassy's pen before heading to project judging.

We're so proud of her—she earned four blue ribbons this year! 👏

When our pigs' water pressure dropped, we figured it was just another symptom of this summer's dry weather.

Turns out, the culprit was something we never expected... a chipmunk in the well.

Some moments are worth every early morning, every practice, and every ounce of hard work. 💚🐷

Last week at the Fenimore Farm Junior Livestock Show, Addison and Sassy had a show we'll never forget.

🏆 Grand Champion Market Hog
🏆 Supreme Swine Overall

Watching Addison defend her Supreme Swine title is something I'll always be proud of, but I'm even more proud of the young woman she's becoming. Her determination, work ethic, and willingness to keep learning have been the greatest rewards of this journey.

A special thank you to Rodney Spinler for providing us with outstanding genetics. Sassy has been everything we could have hoped for, and we're grateful to have started this journey with such a quality gilt.

And to Bradon Burks—thank you for your continued guidance, encouragement, and for always being willing to share your knowledge. Your support has made a lasting impact on both Addison and our family.
