I am writing today with a request that is both important and difficult to make. If you know Ma, you know she is a person who rarely asks for help, preferring instead to offer it to others. Unfortunately, she is facing a significant health challenge, and while it is hard for her to reach out, she has agreed to let me do so on her behalf.
Recently, Ma has been diagnosed with two types of cancer: adenocarcinoma and small-cell lung cancer. Initially, only the adenocarcinoma was detected, and surgery was performed to remove it. However, during the surgery, small-cell lung cancer was discovered as well. The medical team was able to remove both types, but small-cell lung cancer is known for being particularly elusive and can often remain undetected in scans.
To ensure that any remaining cancer cells are completely eradicated, Ma is now undergoing a series of four rounds of chemotherapy. This treatment is critical for her recovery but also comes with significant costs.
In light of this, we are seeking support to help cover the expenses associated with her treatment. Your contribution would be immensely helpful in alleviating some of the financial burden that Ma and Jim are facing during this challenging time.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate Online: by Venmo -JH-Smith or through Zeffy-
Mail a Check: Andrea Smith- Po Box 1669 Boring OR 97009
Other Ways to Help: If you prefer to offer support in another way or have questions, please contact me at 503-577-0810.
No donation is too small, and every bit of support is deeply appreciated. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference in Ma’s journey to recovery.
Thank you for considering this request and for your support.
Warmest regards,
Andrea Smith- on behalf of all of Ma's Kids, Grandkids and Great Grandkids
