Agreed.

We've found that it's the effort you put into your food that gets the best rewards.

The hard part is that effort has to come from multiple directions. The farmers need to make their effort to get to the customer. The customers need effort to meet the farmers where they are.

The problem that Farm To You solved was making the widest possible point of contact for those two. We narrowed the gap between where farmers were vs where customers were.

It's a beautiful system...one that we hope will find its way to cities and towns at some point in the future to build stronger food communities. 🥰

EDIT TO ADD bc ppl on her make way too many assumptions and take things out of context in the worst way:
We know food deserts exist, our farm is in one. We're not saying that. We're saying it takes effort and that's the thing both consumers and farmers aren't willing to do en masse...we know because we've tried to get them to meet in the middle at our Farm To You stores.

It's exhausting (and expensive) trying to convince people to make investments in themselves and their community.

Celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian torches the concept of food deserts, saying a lack of effort — not access — is what keeps American families from eating healthy.

Zakarian pointed to grocery delivery apps like Instacart and argued that if a family can drive to McDonald's, they can find fresh or canned food somewhere else.

"There really is no reason to not cook for yourself and cook for your family," he told Fox News Digital. "Part of doing this and staying healthy is you've got to put effort in."
