Lone Mountain Farm Summer Wilderness Day Camp, Native American History Program Lone Mountain is a 100 acre farm, located in the South Mountains of Western North Carolina.

We offer a variety of outdoor and classroom related programs, designed to educate while instilling a passion for the great outdoors. We have been educating many elementary aged children throughout the Piedmont and Foothills of Western North Carolina since 1995. Elementary schools, church groups, scouts and many others have been coming back year after year. Feel free to browse our site, and let us know if we can serve you. We are located 15 miles south of Morganton on Hwy. 226, 3 miles east of Hwy. 64, in the historic and scenic Golden Valley community. Wow, it’s the first day of Fall!! We are looking back on 32 years of summer camp with so much gratitude! Time flies, but the sweet memories of this season are still lingering—especially when we look at this beautiful book one of our campers made for us. Sharing God’s goodness with the little ones never gets old! A sweet reminder of why we do what we do! 🐓🐖🦆🐴🐑🐐🛶🏹🥾

Second session was incredible! New campers, new adventures, and endless memories. It is always a joy to watch children conquer fears, laugh deeply, and enjoy God’s beautiful creation! 🙌🌲

Steal the Bacon is a fast-paced tag and reaction game. Two teams line up facing each other, and players are assigned matching numbers. When a number is called, the two corresponding players sprint to the center, race to grab the "bacon", and try to run it safely back to their team line without being tagged by the opponent. Guess who got the bacon??! 😂
