A few months ago, our team set up a tasting event and handed out samples of our homemade hot sauce, and one faculty member told us how much he loved it.

Months passed before opening week finally arrived, but Chef Justin hadn't forgotten. He sat down and handwrote out the recipe himself, then surprised the faculty member with it on opening day so he could make it at home.

That's what we mean by a Genuine Moment. Nobody asked Justin to remember a conversation from months earlier. He just did, because that's how our teams show up for the people they serve every day.

Nothing says back to school like a good BBQ! 🎉 One of our partner sites hosted its annual teacher luncheon and BBQ last week with a Hawaiian luau theme, complete with huli huli chicken, Hawaiian wedding cake, and other on-theme favorites. Genuine Foods is proud to have made the Inc. 5000 list for the fourth year in a row. We celebrate four years of continued growth and investment with our teams and our partners across the country.

Continuous growth means continuous reinvention — a steady push to improve on what we did yesterday, not just repeat it. That takes focus, diligence, and a clear sense of who we are and who we're working to become, day in and day out. We've stayed privately held on purpose, which gives us the room to hold onto that focus: no outside shareholders pushing for shortcuts, no pressure to trade quality for scale. Try It Tuesday is exactly what it sounds like: now that school's back in session, we're putting a new food in front of students every week- no pressure, just a chance to taste something they might not pick on their own. Kids often need to try a new food several times before they decide they like it, so the goal was never an instant favorite; it's just getting a taste in.
