Stillwater Farm, owned by Jay and Margaret Braymiller, is a small family farm on 32 acres in the hills of Boston, NY where we have lived since 1991 with our three daughters: Leah, Molly and Anna. All of our lambs and chickens are feed locally produced grain. Our Sheep:

n and mild flavored, making it a welcome option for those who prefer less "gamey" lamb. While many of our lamb are destined for the table, it is our farm philosophy that those sheep be raised with the same care and reverence as any of the sheep we raise for showing, breeding or pets. Our Chickens:
Meat chickens and egg layers alike are raised in our chicken barn. Each morning at sunrise, the doors are opened and they scamper outside for the day! They spend the day pecking and foraging or dustbathing and resting until dusk, when they venture back to the security oif the barn for night time safety. Our Values...

~ All the livestock and poultry raised on our farm are raised with unlimited access to pasture allowing them freedom of movement and the ability to engage in natural behaviors.

~ Livestock and chickens are fed organic grain to supplement their pasture access. All animals enjoy gentle and humane handling for the entire time on our farm. We have our animals processed at a USDA faciility that respects our wishes for quiet, gentle handling during processing.

~ A genuine reverence and respect for the land and the animals we raise for food is not a recent development - it is a lifestyle! Since 1991, we have been slowly rehabilitating our 200 year old farmhouse, reworking and regeneratng the long neglected land and caring for our animals respectfully and humanely. Bigger Isn't Always Better... Our small scale ensures that our animals receive the time, care and attention they deserve. Pasture raised with respect for the instinctive needs of the animals and gentle humane handling: Naturally, we would not have it any other way!
