It takes a Village…
Today was a testament to this proverb.

It was just Jaque and I behind the coffee bar today because all of our teenage employees have left for college. And as they say in this industry, we got SLAMMED! It’s one of the greatest feelings to serve a product that so many enjoy! So many, that we started to get concerned about our capabilities to keep up.

Without asking for their help, regular customers came to our assistance and we would like to again sincerely thank them for their gracious support; to Nathan (aka Clare’s dad) for taking orders, to Amy for filling the water station and emptying the garbages, to Heidi for washing the tables, and to Rhea for refilling our ice bin. Jaque and I are beyond appreciative and very proud to be a part of this village.

We got cleaned up and attended the International Peace Garden Gala tonight where the theme continued. It takes a village on both sides of the border to maintain and serve this beautiful botanical garden that is dedicated to the mission of celebrating peace. Experience the garden… it is so good for the soul!

Cheers to Tallie! 🎉 Today marks a bittersweet moment as Tallie leaves for college this weekend, which means today was her last day at Metigoshe Coffee House. We’re going to miss her warm greetings that always brightened up our day, her smile that could light up the entire room, her selfless nature that inspired us to be better people, and her unwavering positive attitude that got us through stressful coffee rushes. We have no doubt that she’ll excel in her studies at physical therapy school, and her passion for helping others will take her far. We’re honored to have her as part of our crew. ❤️ All the best, Tallie!

Locals start their mornings with a coffee from Metigoshe Coffee House, and by sunrise, you’ll see kayakers, fishing boats, or pelicans drifting past. Lake Metigoshe is an outdoorsy community that offers a casual adventure with great scenery. Here’s the thing: you don’t need a luxury resort to enjoy an escape that mixes outdoor fun, good coffee, and small-town charm.
