Whole Foods, or N**e Foods, that is the question π€ Both are full of delicious organic groceries but...
One lines a billionaire's pockets with more wealth, siphoning money out of our communities, and puts the responsibility of sustainability on YOU. They fill the store wall to wall with plastic, and then ask you to 'be sustainable' by bringing your own bag. And while we love that they offer organic products, supporting this means that your hard earned money supports a man who decimates the planet in countless other ways through his other company (we all know what it is).
The other option is a locally-owned, women-owned company where your dollars multiply throughout the community because they use local services and buy from 85+ local brands and farms. They take on the burden of sustainability. Every product on the shelves is researched and vetted to make sure it's good for your health AND the planet. And they buy in bulk then put their local, organic groceries in glass jars that you return to be sanitized and reused when they're done.
Both are organic. But...
One supports a billionaire and is based on single-use plastic packaging that pollutes the earth for centuries.
One helps you eliminate plastic from your household, support your local economy, and create a new normal of circularity where everything is reused rather than thrown 'away'.
