New Release: Peru Jaime Rivera Pintado

Our final microlot of the season comes from Jaime Rivera Pintado of La Prosperidad de Chirinos in Cajamarca, and it’s a beautiful send-off. This washed Caturra & Bourbon blend brings sparkling grape acidity balanced by sweet caramel and vanilla bean.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Logan!

Logan has been with OZO since 2023, working between our Longmont Cafe and the Boulder Roastery, and recently took the mic as MC for the Latte Art Throwdown. Get to know him below!

1. Tell us a little about yourself and your role with OZO.

I’m a Colorado native who graduated from CSU a few years ago. I love the outdoors and many classic Colorado past times. Ive worked in the coffee industry since 2019 and at OZO since 2023. I work in the Longmont Cafe as well as the Roastery in Boulder!

2. If you could choose any superpower, what would it be?

A superpower I’d love to have is the ability to not need sleep, I would have so many extra hours in the day!

3. What’s something you’re passionate about outside of coffee?

Outside of coffee I am very passionate about art and the process of creation. I like making things in just about any media.

4. What’s a hidden talent or hobby you have that might surprise people?

My hidden talent is that I am oddly good with all animals, to the point that my fiancée calls me Snow White when I’m interacting with them (I did save a bird at our café recently so she’s not wrong)

5. Favorite local business?

One of my favorite local businesses is Nature’s Own, a rock shop with locations in Fort Collins, Breckenridge, and Nederland

NEW RELEASE: Peru Mariano Peña Huertas 🇵🇪☕️  Apricot | Custard | Almond   A Caturra microlot from producer Mariano Peña Huertas with notes of vibrant apricot and almond, paired with a custard-like sweetness.

In 2018, we made our first visit the La Prosperidad de Chirinos, situated in the San Ignacio province of Cajamarca. This year, we are proud to offer this microlot from co-op member Mariano Peña Huertas, who has been a member of the co-op since 1994. Mariano’s microlot is a washed single-variety Caturra, produced with care in the mountains of Cajamarca. In the cup, enjoy notes of almond, custard, and a sweet apricot acidity.
