Sacred Fire Farms is an herbal education center dedicated to the growth and knowledgeable utilization of botannical remedies. Located near the foot hills of the Ozarks in Bourbon Missouri, they offer day programs themed in herbalism, sustainable living, holistic health, personal growth, art, metaphysics and nature, it was established by Nancy and Michael Herold in 2013 on a piece of property purc
hased by Nancy's Cherokee great-great grandmother shortly after the Civil War. A centennial farm, the property has been passed down from generation to generation and Nancy is now the fifth generation to take up residence on the property. With the help of her husband Michael they have revitalized the property to establish a remedy garden where Nancy grows the bulk of botannicals that go into the remedies that she herself makes. It is her opinion that a sense of wellness is within everyone's grasp given the right tools and support system. She is aided by her husband Michael whose past experience as a production supervisor and carpenter has been essential to refurbishing many of the buildings and upgrading infrastructure. It is Nancy and Michael's heartfelt desire to help each person who walks the land at Sacred Fire Farms to leave with a renewed sense of purpose and better understanding of what options exist for optimizing their own sense of well being. With two natural springs, a number of rustic buildings, a refurbished 100+ year old barn, trails and programming to appeal to a variety of interests, Sacred Fire Farms is dedicated to growing the most important crop of all: The individual dreams, aspirations and sense of wellbeing that resides within each one of its visitors, that can be shared for a better world.
