A little farm update… and the (likely)arrival of Frostmas.
The last three weeks at Triskelion Gardens have been full of some of the most meaningful moments of our season.
We wrapped up our bouquet subscription season, and we are so incredibly grateful to everyone who shared in the farm’s bounty with us this year. 💐❤️ I will be putting together a clip of how all the bouquets this season turned out and post it soon.
And then there were the weddings, celebrations of life, anniversaries, and all of those beautiful moments in between. To be able to grow flowers that become part of someone’s important moments is something we never take for granted. We feel so honored to have a tiny place in these memories. 🌸
We knew the end of the season was coming, so we worked hard to prepare for the early frost and stretch the life of the field just a little bit longer. We harvested what we could for drying and future workshops, gathered the last of the blooms we could save, and enjoyed every last bit of color.
But now… the field is looking tired. 🍂
And that’s okay.
It’s time to let Mother Nature take over.
The next frost — likely tonight — will be “Frostmas.” ❄️🌙
It’s a bit of a bittersweet holiday around here. Frostmas marks the closing of another flower season, and there’s always a little sadness in watching the garden go quiet.
But it also brings something wonderful: time to reflect, rest, dream, and imagine what the next season might hold. 🌱
We’ll be thinking about what worked, what surprised us, what we learned, what we want to grow more of (and probably what we definitely don’t need to grow again 😂), and all the possibilities waiting for us next year.
For now, we’ll let the flowers return to the earth and trust that this little patch of land is simply beginning its next chapter.
Thank you for being part of ours. ❤️
Happy Frostmas, friends. ❄️🌸
May the quiet season bring a little rest, a little dreaming, and lots of good things growing beneath the surface.
