Bow Hill Blueberries

Bow Hill Blueberries A small family farm with a huge commitment to growing and preserving organic heirloom blueberries. Bulk buy option available. Located in Bow-Edison, WA!

Established in 1947, Bow Hill Blueberries is the site of the oldest family-run blueberry farm in Skagit Valley. When the Soltes family took this project on in 2011, they focused on rejuvenating the soil and transitioned these historic fields to Certified Organic. Siblings Audrey Matheson and Ezra Ranz grew up on a similar-sized farm near Lake Tahoe and it has been a life-long dream to live and wor

k with their families in the field of sustainable agriculture. The farm specializes in heirloom berries and has over 4,500 bushes that are a combination of Rubel, Stanley, Jersey, and Bluecrop. The Ranz-Matheson families have added another 2.5 acres of heirloom blueberry lanes from the original 40 acre farm that are slated for a Certified Organic harvest in 2023. The farm store is open year-round. In small batches, we farm-craft heirloom pickled blueberries, low-sugar confiture (previously known as jam), blueberry salad dressing and marinade, and pure 100% heirloom blueberry juice, blueberry powder, and heirloom dried blueberries. Our neighbors at Lopez Island Creamery make our recipe for blueberry ice cream. We have curated multiple gift boxes for you or your loved ones to enjoy, attend many farmers markets, and work with local bars and restaurants to get our products and berries to you. During the harvest, we offer grazing passes so that you can wander the you-pick fields and experience eating the absolute freshest, most nutritious blueberries right off the bush without feeling at-all guilty about it. We’ve heard many stories from locals who fondly remember picking blueberries in our fields as far back as the 1940s. For many, picking here was their first job. Our goal is to continue creating harvest memories and connections to farm fresh food. We’re excited and humbled to take on this project and carry on what the past two families before us have created. Ezra, Emma, Audrey, and Andrew
