Well, hey there! Long time no see. (I managed a whopping eight posts last year. What can I say? I haven’t been too interested in social media, even though there’s a ton of cool stuff happening at the farm. Maybe I will catch y’all up soon...)

Hey, we’re back! Thank you for all your messages and concern this week. We’re all ok here at Boldly Grown. The Samish River (which borders our farm) thankfully crested lower than expected, and we experienced minimal damage. We had moved all our equipment and vehicles to high ground and harvested as much as we could Mon-Wed in preparation for flooding. Our home farm is about 60 acres, and we think about 20 were under water at the high point; most of that was our forested area/riparian buffer and cover cropped fields. We only lost about one acre of unharvested radicchio and four acres of kale that was still being harvested from, which is less than we expected to lose.

Though we’re on the very outer edge of the Skagit River’s 100-year floodplain, that crest was also lower than expected (though still record-breaking). There’s still significant flooding elsewhere in the area, as well as evacuation orders and road closures in place.

Our farm stand has now reopened; please only come if it’s safe for you to do so. And please consider looking for ways to support local farms and businesses that may have been impacted by this record flooding. šŸ’š

Hey folks! Yes we’re alive, just busy farming, parenting and life-ing. But wanted to pop in with an important PSA, as the season for is imminent! šŸ“£

It may be literal sunshine & dahlias now during this last gasp of summer, but ā€œThe Big Darkā€ is comin...the gray days, the seemingly two-hours-of-daylight time of year, when everything on your plate tastes like it’s been shipped across the country (or the world) before it even reaches you.

But fear not! We’ve got your back this winter with organic veggies to get you through it with our Winter CSA. Just imagine... cozy dinners that actually taste alive—and heck, even a crisp salad can make it into your winter repertoire (thank you, ).

Registration is open NOW. Snag your spot today!
The details:
-November-March
-10 bi-weekly boxes of our fresh, organic, local produce
-each box contains approximately 8-12 different items
-drop-sites in Skagit, Bellingham, & Seattle
