We still grow a few perennial herbs/products for wholesale and host other wholesale farmers who manage their own businesses. Located in Skagit County off Chuckanut Drive in Bow, WA, near Edison, we are on 20 acres in the beautiful Samish Flats. Visit our seasonal Farm Stand for fresh certified organic produce or contact us for wholesale purchases or special orders. In addition to growing certified

organic produce and flowers, our farm is in a productive location for birds. We are committed to restoring and sharing our land for and with wildlife and managing our farm with this in mind. We are a small destination farm for informal visits, winter bird watching, community gatherings and education. With backgrounds in K-12 wellness and environmental/field science education we occasionally host school groups. We have a lovely 1-bedroom guest house with full kitchen to rent by the night for farm stays. Consider staying overnight on our farm and enjoy all the wonderful food, art, nature and beauty our community offers: https://www.blanchardmountainfarm.com/guest-house

Just a late lunch…en Palermo. Eggplant caponata, salmon bruschetta, ensalada mixta, 2 different linguine dishes. One meal per day and make it grand seems to be our plan so far.

Thanks to some wonderful house and farm sitters, we have left the farm to go on an epoch 5.5 week adventure! We just spent a few days in Roma getting acclimated. We leave tomorrow for a few weeks in Sicily. We’ll be spending 5 days at Anna Tasca Lanza, connecting with my Sicilian cousins, heading off on a road trip and staying at a few agrotourismos. Then we are off to Athens, Crete and Naxos. There will be food and farm pics! Stay tuned! Yesterday we went on a food tour in Rome and then biked along the historical Appian Way and ran into a flock of sheep…in Rome!

One of our two retirement rows. A few vegies for us, flowers for the insects and vegies and to make us all happy, and a few herbs and rhubarb to sell. We love our small farm and the community of humans who we share it with. We really miss seeing our farm stand customers in mid summer.
Love to you all! 💕🥰😘
(oh and the drip tape leak was immediately fixed! 😩🤦‍♀️)

Looks like I wore the correct T-shirt for harvesting Anise Hyssop for orders today! The plants are now covered with their gorgeous edible purple flowers. A handful of special Seattle and Orcas Island restaurants are in for a treat when these beautiful tasty stems arrive. In the background is .farm’s nasturtiums and produce. What a lovely day on the farm!

It is always enjoyable to open our farm up to artists. Today the Salish Sea Plein Air Painters returned for a visit.

I love the views from our farm, and especially Blanchard Mountain. I tend to adore the underdog weather days in particular and they are especially enhanced by black and white images. One of my photography mentors was fond of saying “black and white is the fact”. I believe he meant it distills things down to being able to just see the light and grey tones without being distracted by color.

We are looking for someone to cut and take away grass from our 17-acre field. We have had someone cut and bale it annually for years and we don’t have anyone to do it this year. It’s ready now and folks usually get at least 2 cuts off of it. Send me a message and I’ll put you in touch with my husband, Walter.

Evening walk around the farm and down the road a piece. Peace.
