Update: only real loss is the baler, freezers are ok. Thanks all for offers of support!

Thank goodness for the neighbors who saw the smoke! We were downstairs in the bakery. Baler caught fire. It's toast, tractor is OK. Small barn caught but FD got here in time so just singed. Livestock ok. Don't know yet about the freezers in that barn. Electric to the barn could be an issue.

It's been a while! Life here has been very busy and we actually have a couple updates.
First, we are now on Instagram! It's been a long time coming, but it has finally arrived. If you would like to follow us over there, our username is mulberrycreekcsa. We're hoping to be a little more active over there, although we will hopefully be automating our Instagram posts to still post to Facebook if you're not interested in Instagram and still want to know what's going on, we just may not be frequently checking for questions/comments here.
Second, we are no longer attending the Falmouth/Cumberland Markets but are still at the Portland Wednesday market in Deering Oakes Park 7-1. In addition to that we are still attending the Bowdoinham and Lewiston Markets on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Third, we found out that our milk never had PFAS and it was all in the testing. (If you are looking for more information about that, just let us know and we'll be happy to explain further.) So with that we have resumed all our goat cheesemaking including chevre and feta and it is going with us to all of our markets.

It's been a while since I've posted a This Morning on the Farm, life's been crazy! Maggie and Glenn are on their way to the Portland Farmers Market at Deering Oaks Park. We will not be at Falmouth today! Stop by our booth at Deering Oaks for your tasty cow dairy and sourdough. Goat dairy and more meat coming in August!

This morning on the farm it's overcast and Misty, but not too cold. We're getting ready for the Cumberland farmers market today and the Lewiston farmers market tomorrow. I think Platypus is the only one who's happy with the weather!

This morning on the farm it's windy and dark but the birds are chirping and one rooster is starting to Crow. We're getting chores done and getting ready to send Maggie and Glenn off to markets today. Maggie will be holding down our booth at Portland deering Oaks park, and Glenn will be enjoying the opening day at the Falmouth farmers market!

This evening on the farm it's overcast and cool. The goats are slowly getting their pedicures and the lambs are enjoying the rock pile.

This morning on the farm it's overcast and thankfully not nearly as hot as it was yesterday! Thank goodness! Yesterday it was way too hot for Maine especially in may. With Maggie home and farmers markets ramping up, our schedules are all out of whack. Posting to Facebook has slid a little bit. Getting loaded up to head to Lewiston for the farmers market there with plenty of dairy, meat, and sourdough, and a few mushrooms.

This evening on the farm it's the end of a very beautiful day in which the baby goats got their first taste of real freedom! We've rearranged the livestock so that the sheep and the big goats are in the pasture together and the babies are in the bottom field. Easier to keep them away from their mamas' udders that way!

Keep in mind🙂
