Hey visitors
Our farm is
Gone now and so we left this page as a reminder of our good times

Well folks; it's been a fun ride but the time has come to say goodbye.
We are listing the farm for sale and will be liquidating our livestock and equipment within the next few weeks.
Sorry we won't be able to do our "Tax relief Jam this year but I'm glad we have the memories of the lat year.
Circumstances have forced us to make this decision and we didn't do it lightly, it has given me many sleepless nights and gray hairs.

We will be posting a date soon for a yard sale and we may just have one more party before the move so watch for the dates

Love all
Roy

Our new batch of laying hens is getting to the age of producing finally.
Less of a money pit when they start laying!
We also just got a batch of layers from another farm that's selling out....so our production should be very good in a couple of weeks.
All you locals are invited to stop by anytime for a dozen eggs and any of our produce!

Tell Your Congress Member: Reject the King Amendment and any other rider or amendment to the Farm Bill that would take away states’ rights to label GMOs!

On Wednesday, May 15, the House Ag Committee passed the King Amendment, a measure some say could take away states’ rights to label GMOs. If the King Amendment survives to the final version of the Farm Bill 2013, and is passed by Congress, some say it could preempt states’ rights to label GMOs. And if it doesn’t, will another rider or amendment be introduced into the final bill that would threaten state labeling laws?

Some in Congress would have us believe that state labeling laws are too messy – we must reject them in favor of a federal labeling law. But that’s just stonewalling. We all know that a federal law is unlikely, given the revolving door between biotech and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). And any law signed off on by Congress and the FDA would be a flimsy, loophole-ridden measure written by biotech and Big Food.

The OCA is calling on consumers to tell their Congress members to reject any rider or amendment that would preempt state’s rights to label GMOs.

Take Action:

Our new baby goats are so cute! I will have some photos coming soon and I hope some pix from the "jam".
We have some new plans in the works for the near future and hope some of our friends can help us out.
If anyone has any left over lumber or roofing materials we could sure use the help.
Thanks again to all

Thanks to everyone who came to the "Tax relief cookout and jam session". It was a great success and we plan on having that event every year.
Our greens and beans are growing well and we are harvesting strawberries and greens daily now.
We will be setting up our farmstand next week for anyone wanting to stop bye and pick up some of our fresh eggs or produce.
We grow everything organic using only natural fertilizer and compost just like "Mother Nature" intended.
Hope to see you soon!
