Four Bellies Farm A family farm in West Georgia. We believe in producing food in a way that is nourishing to the land, the animals, and our customers. We decided to go for it.

Our Story
We are Avery and Melissa. Let me tell you how we got here. Avery was previously working as an electrical engineer in the high tech industry in Silicon Valley, California. Before having our first daughter in 2012 I was working as an occupational therapist. A few years before our daughter was born we began to feel passionately about knowing where our food comes from and the direct connecti

on it has to health. We developed relationships with the farmers we bought our food from, and began learning a lot about the quality of food and farming. Avery began reading and watching everything he could find on "mob grazing” –a livestock management technique used by Allan Savory, Joel Salatin, and Greg Judy. It didn't take long before he was talking about it to anyone who would listen. As our interest in farming intensified, we had a daughter who was rapidly getting older, and the pull to be near family became more pressing. We moved back to Georgia and Avery started volunteering with The Little Farm – an amazing organic family farm in Gray, Georgia. The Little Farm provided a rich educational and personal experience for us and introduced us to more people and resources to help us grow. We ultimately ended up in West Georgia because we were drawn to it's rich agricultural history and vast organic scene. We are farming on 62 gorgeous acres of mostly pasture. Want more? Hi friends! We are closing our farm and pursuing new adventures. I will be at Grant Park for 3 more weeks with our final market on March 9th. We have lots of chicken breasts, ground chicken, chicken breakfast sausage, chicken chorizo sausage, chicken liver, beef liver, chicken backs/soup bones, beef bones, bone broth and a selection of other goodies until they are sold out. Ask about bulk pricing on liver, bones, chicken breasts and/or ground chicken if you are interested in stocking up!

Meet our new wool ram lambs! We are adding wool genetics into our flock of hair sheep to get larger lamb cuts, hybrid vigor, and faster growth. Don't get too excited! It will be April of next year before we will begin to see some larger cuts at the market. I'll post progress. Follow along on our new journey! In the meantime all lamb cuts and our new whole lamb option (message for whole lamb details) are available everywhere we are.

It's been a productive, beautiful spring and now we are fully stocked in all beef, lamb, and chicken cuts. It's a great time to come out and see us! You can find us Saturdays from 9am-1pm and from 8am-11am and on Sundays at the from 9am-1pm.
