Comment “start now” to learn more about baking with whole grains.

Learning to bake with fresh milled flour is a new skill, and it takes time to figure out what works. The dough may feel different, the recipes may need adjusting, and some things may not turn out the way you hoped.

But don’t give up. Every loaf of bread, every batch of rolls, and every recipe you try teaches you something. Those little lessons add up, and one day you’ll look at how far you’ve come and realize just how much you’ve learned.

The beautiful breads, cakes, and meals don’t happen overnight. They come from showing up, learning, and trying again.

Keep going. You’re learning a skill that will serve you for years to come.

Comment “save” to choose the perfect grain mill.

Front, back, side, close-up… she looks good from every angle! 😍

My NutriMill Harvest isn’t just easy on the eyes. It helps me turn whole grains into fresh flour for the breads, rolls, cookies, and so much more that come out of my kitchen.

I love having the freedom to choose my grains and mill fresh flour whenever I need it. After years of baking this way, I can tell you she’s a keeper!

As a Nutrimill associate I earn a small commission from your purchase. Thank you for supporting our small business.

Comment “watch now” to get all the details!

Moving our Amish house was a huge undertaking! I’m so thankful to our Amish friends and neighbors who made this job so much easier!

Join Philip and I to learn all the details about moving our house and our Amish frolic.

We really did it!

We moved an entire Amish house to our property.

There was a lot of planning behind this day, but nothing quite prepares you for seeing your future home coming down the road.

It still has a long way to go before we move in, but today was a milestone we won’t forget.

I would have loved to show you more of the details of moving the house, but out of respect for our Amish friends, we made a point of videoing them as little as possible. What we witnessed was pretty incredible!

Their work ethic and the way they approached a job this big, using minimal modern technology and relying so much on skill, experience, teamwork, and good old-fashioned ingenuity, was inspiring to watch. There was no shortage of hard work, and somehow they made something that looked incredibly complicated seem almost simple.

I’m forever grateful to our Amish friends that made this possible.

Comment “learn more” to learn why we love our Dexters!

Some of you may remember Ace of Spades. We call him Ace.

His birth went viral, with more than 700,000 people watching him enter the world. But life here on the farm was much quieter.

Ace grew up right by his mama’s side, learning all the rules of being a cow. He learned from her, followed her around the pasture, and slowly figured out how this whole cow thing works.

He had his best buddy, Sunny. Some days they were the sweetest pair you’ve ever seen. Other days… it was a complete rodeo.

All the while, Ace was getting an education of his own. Learning to follow direction. Learning how to be handled. Learning what it means to be a bull.

And today, Ace left for the next chapter of his story.

He’s headed to his very own farm, where he’ll have a herd of his own and a whole new job to do. And most importantly, a family who will love him as much as we do.

It’s a little strange watching a calf you’ve raised leave the farm. But just like children grow up, learn what they need to know, and eventually head out into the world, so do these babies.

Ace had a good start here. He had his mama, his best buddy Sunny, plenty of pasture, and lots of people cheering him on from afar.

Now it’s time for him to spread his wings… or maybe I should say, stretch those four legs… and become the sire he was raised to be.

Go be a good bull, Ace. ❤️
