I am excited right now! Lol. Rip has had this spot on his rear end since birth and I originally thought moonspot but was like "nahh neither parents have them" well I just found out it is indeed a moonspot!! I need to do some searching on both parents and figure out which one passed it down. I am excited because we are keeping this boy so I will get to pass down more moonspots in my herd! 😁

Day 148 of S'mores gestational period. Her ligaments are a little softer, but not a ton. Anyone have a guess of when she might kid? Im going to say Monday which will be day 150!

We are on day 140 of our gestation period so I just wanted to share some updated photos of our gals and who they were bred with. I could only get pictures of them eating (and the boys still didnt want to cooperate lol) I was by myself this day so had no one to hold the goats for me lol.

Our first pairing is Lazy Acres Lane Mocha Latte bred to Roamn Ranch Jameson

I am excited for this pairing!! Mocha is blue eyed and moon spotted and Jameson is brown eyed and giraffe polled and flashy!!

So there is 50% chance of blue eyed and 50% chance of moon spots, and also a chance for polled/giraffe polled.

Keeping my fingers crossed she has at least 1 little doeling in there 🤞

Breeding confirmed by ultrasound! I have listed the specific names of the goats under each picture. Were looking at 6 maybe 7 babies total between the 3. Curious to see what we end up with! They are due either Feb. 28th, or Mar. 1st. We may be keeping 1 or 2 but if anyone is interested in some nigerian dwarf goats feel free to message me! 😊

P.S. I am bad about not taking my phone outside with me ever to get pictures so these are from September when they were bred lol. I will try to get some updated ones soon!

Another successful breeding this morning between Eifel Acres BT Flyme2themoon and CLM Goats S'more (Left)

A possible successful breeding between Roamn Ranch S Jameson and Lazy Acres Lane Mocha Latte(she is the brown doe) (right)

Mocha has been my most difficult doe with breeding this year. Everyone is new to it, but the other 2 have had no issues and she was just scared. She came to me for comfort so I held her and he was able to mount, but she moved on him so its hard to say if he fully got the "job" done. Only time will tell but I am keeping my fingers crossed it was fully successful because I would love to see the results of this breeding as they both come from good dairy lines! 🤞
