Set on four acres in South Warren County, KY, The Elrod Egg Ranch raises free range chickens which produce organic brown & white eggs, high in Omega 3's. een KY Fescue and are fed high quality laying feed from The Farmer's Market (A-Heritage-Family-Store), and fresh veggies from the garden. This produces a rich orange yolk, and a flavor which can't be found in standard commercially produced eggs. Contact us for details on how to arrange the pick up and payment for the eggs.

From the egg ranch ... On the right, a regular large egg. On the left, definitely a double yolk, possibly the first triple yolk we've ever had. Either way, after a hard winter that saw 10 hens & a rooster lost to hawks & coyotes --- the hens are rockin' the eggs right now & we are back in business for the spring!!!

We're experiencing a down-turn in egg production right now ...think it's heat ! Hope to return to 2doz per day numbers soon. Sorry if we've been off the radar, just not enough to "spread the love" !!

Also --- love to hear from those who have bought our chickens we raised for "dinner." How did they turn out ?!?

Two new things to report...after a long name search through suggestions coming from everywhere, we've named the new rooster 'Caesar' !! Looks like he's wearing a white toga & a red crown...

Also --- the chickens overnight have started laying!! We are going to wait a week or so to start selling them, the first eggs are very small & some do not have yolks, but we're close everybody !!!
