What a beautiful day in KY! We made a trip to Gallrein Farms to pick pumpkins and now tackling a "Poor Man's Brisket". The meat cut may be cheaper, but I didn't skimp on the seasoning. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Steak is back on the menu...after several months of high beef prices. The local grocery is now selling ribeye and ribeye roasts at nearly former COVID-19 prices. That said the labels still say "Savings", but that marketing nuisance is all too obvious...

Post 4th of July meat sale is happening now at your local grocery. Meats may not seem like a deal these days with skyrocketing prices, but you may find the perfect deal for an afternoon cook. This is an all natural well marbled chuck roast that was on sale. I'm betting it'll taste like brisket burnt ends by 8:00 tonight...

Don't think we've stopped the BBQ due to COVID-19. Meat prices are high right now, but there's still bargains to be had. These spare ribs were $9 while baby backs couldn't be found. Smoked the main part of the ribs and put the trimmings in a crock pot. Should make 2-3 meals for a family of three.

It's about to go down folks! Yes, Grillin' and BBQ is possible in January with the same results as in summer thanks to Ceramic. I'll be honest though. It's not nearly as fun!
