🌸 Why are dinners by donation? 🌸
A few people have asked why Queta’s dinners are by donation, so I wanted to explain a little. ❤️
Right now, I have the option to operate with a temporary food license and put set prices on my meals. But instead, I’ve chosen to keep doing things by donation.
And honestly… I really love it this way.
I don’t want someone to look at the menu and think, “I can't afford that, so I guess I can't eat.”
If you have a few dollars, give a few dollars.
If you have enough to give a little more, that extra helps make it possible for me to feed the person who doesn't have anything to give.
Sometimes people give more than the cost of their meal. Sometimes they can only give a little. And sometimes someone genuinely can't give anything at all.
That's okay. ❤️
The whole idea behind Queta’s has always been about family, food, and taking care of our community. My grandma/mom taught me that you feed people.. not just the people who can afford it.
So for now, I'm choosing to keep Queta’s dinners by donation rather than putting a price on someone's plate.
It's not a handout.
It's not complicated.
It's neighbors helping neighbors. 🌸
You give what you can, and everybody gets fed.
And the beautiful part? Your donations aren't just paying for food. You're helping me keep this little food truck going, fixing things that have been broken, replacing equipment, and giving Queta’s a chance to keep growing.
So thank you. Truly. ❤️
From our family to yours, thank you for believing in what Queta’s is becoming.
