It’s Monday, and Twilight got the crappy end of the deal from Midnight. 💩🐐

Some goats start the week with coffee. Twilight started hers wearing whatever Midnight was serving. Farm life keeps us humble… and occasionally covered in manure.

Happy Monday from Cutter’s Crossing Farm, where personal space is just a suggestion. 😂

Violet isn’t feeling her best today, E stepped right up to help take care of her. From checking on her to making sure she had what she needed, he took his job very seriously.

Watching him learn compassion, responsibility, and a love for animals is one of the best parts of farm life. Violet is lucky to have such a caring little farmhand looking out for her.

Did you know a dairy goat’s milk production depends on much more than genetics? Proper nutrition, fresh water, good health, and a consistent milking schedule all play a big role in how much milk she produces.

Fern is milked twice a day, and consistency helps signal her body to keep making milk. Missing milkings or changing the schedule can lead to a drop in production.

Dairy goats can produce milk for months after kidding, with some does giving milk for 10 months or longer during a lactation!

Mr. B had a serious case of the post-rain zoomies today! As soon as the storm passed, our little mini horse took off running laps around the farm like he was training for the Kentucky Derby. Safe to say someone was feeling fresh and full of energy!

Poor Rosita is our second goat in the last two weeks to get bitten by a snake. 😔 Her leg is swollen and painful, but we’re hopeful she’ll be feeling better soon.

A huge thank you to Dr. Ellie for answering our early morning phone call and pointing us in the right direction. We’re so grateful to have a vet who is always there when our animals need help.

Farm life definitely keeps us on our toes, and we’re hoping this is the last snake bite we’ll see for a long while!

Bonnie was definitely feeling the effects of show weekend! 😴🐐

The girls did great at their very first outing. We may not have brought home all the ribbons, but we placed respectably, learned a lot, and gained valuable experience for the future. That’s a win in my book!

So grateful for good friends, great goats, a well-run show, and judges who take the time to educate exhibitors. Now it’s time for Bonnie to catch up on some much-deserved rest before the next adventure.

Violet’s official job title for the weekend: Goat Show Babysitter. 🤣

While the kids are busy causing chaos and testing everyone’s patience, Violet is over here wondering how she got stuck running daycare.
