The heat just keeps coming. 🥵 We are still in survival mode this week. The silver lining is that the duck pond dried up, so we were able to dig it out again so that it’s deeper and will hold more water. Now we just need rain! I think we are siting at over 35 days with no rain.

Officially signed up for our first poultry show of the season! This one is gonna be a HOT one, but will be a great warmup (no pun intended) for everyone. We will be taking 18 birds to this one.

Near Record Heat… Texas Bulleye

August 17th - 23rd

Where it’s dry, you fry. Dry soil heats up quickly with high pressure directly overhead. It’s the hottest week of Summer so far ahead . Humidity levels will drop into the teens. The record of 109 on Monday set in 2023 the last El Niño Summer will be close. A string of 105+ temps likely topping out around 108 this week. North Texas will be the hottest above average in the country.

It’s going to be very difficult to break down this ridge. The stronger it gets, the more difficult it gets to break. It would take a major hurricane, but that’s not coming.
