6 years ago… my very first kutsinta order. 🥹❤️
Feeling ko noon, ang yaman ko na when I received my very first payment. 🤣 It was $16 but to me, it meant so much more. It was the beginning of a dream. (Ang drama 🤣)
A little back story on how Mia’s Kitchen started… I’ve always loved making kakanin. Whenever I craved something, I would try to make it from scratch. I would always make a big batch, and of course, hindi ko naman nauubos.
At that time, I was already thinking about selling my kakanin so I would have something to do while staying at home, but I wasn’t sure if people would like it or if it was the right time to start.
Then I met Tita and Tito through Facebook. I would always message them to ask if they wanted some, and I would even drive (well… my hubby pala 🤣 He has been my chauffeur since day one, always bringing me and my kakanin wherever I needed to go. ❤️) to their house to bring them what I made.
One day, they told me, “Why don’t you sell them? We will order too.”
For me, that felt like the sign I was waiting for. 🥹❤️ And my very first kutsinta order was from Tita and Tito.
Of course, I asked my dad first if I should sell my kakanin. He has always been my number one supporter. He told me, “Go for it. You can do it.”
So I did… (masunurin kasi ako 🤣)
And that’s how Mia’s Kitchen started. I never imagined that a simple idea, a $16 first order, and the encouragement from my dad would become something I’m still doing until today.
