A couple of hours after they enjoyed a nice appetizer (alfalfa hay), the AOR herd started chowing on 2 bales of hay. There's a depression for em nestled up against a dense tree line protecting them from the North wind.
As you can see, we didn't get anywhere near the predictions from the local meteorologists. We were supposed to get 12"-18"....Barely covered the grass....anyway, cows are fed, watered, the barn cats are in the garage with a heater and the dogs lying in front of the fireplace. Me and Ms W are also in front of the fireplace with a hot cup o Joe enjoying our youngest grand baby.

The AOR herd enjoyed some Godiva chocolate, otherwise known as alfalfa hay...from Eakin Farm and Panel. Next will be 2 bales of hay. You know the winter coat is working when the snow accumulates on the back.
I tell you what, a red fox hat with beaver on the ear flaps is the best winter headgear I have ever worn; and I spent over two decades in the MIL being issued every Army winter headgear Uncle Sam bought. My head stays toasty including my ears. Stay warm and make sure you check on all the farm animals and stay hydrated.

Folks, this is a sweet surprise...rounded a corner of a tree-line to be greeted with a sea of arrow leaf clover...folks, I never planted this clover...this is what happens when you allow the grass to recover from grazing and the wonders of what's hidden in seed bank is awesome. Carbon Cowboys ....AOR is gonna be at the Glenpool Market Friends this SAT (0800-1200)

The Drowning Raccoons are bringing their awesome tunes to the Glenpool Farmers Market this Saturday, July 5th!

Everything is happening in the parking lot just south of the field at BlackGold Park. Market starts bright and early at 8 a.m., but the real toe-tappin' fun kicks off at 10 a.m.

Plus, spread some love (and peanut butter!) with our food drive supporting Mercy Mission II. Bring any non-perishable goodies—let's fill the bins at the administrator booth and hearts!
