Young hunters, your turn starts tomorrow!

Montana’s Youth Deer-Only Hunt runs October 15–16, 2026, coinciding with Montana’s annual two-day teachers’ convention, no-school days for most public school students.

The two-day hunt is open to:

• Legally licensed 12–15-year-olds who have completed hunter education and are accompanied by a non-hunting adult at least 18 years of age.
• Properly certified and legally licensed apprentice hunters ages 10–15 who are accompanied by a non-hunting adult mentor at least 21 years of age.

This hunt is for deer only. Elk hunting is prohibited. All regulations apply.

Our Rose got herself a tasty goat today on her day off! This girl does not stop! In fact, all of our employees this year are crazy hard workers! It’s gonna be a great season!

Well this is about the coolest thing we’ve gotten in the mail in a while! Grakksaw sent us a couple pairs of their backcountry boot driers and man are these sweet! The power off a type c plug and have an adapter to run straight from your phone or any power bank. Say goodbye to damp, cold boots, when you’re out in the field! Their game bags are very stout too and in blaze orange to easily see, hanging in a tree.

WAAAAAY of topic, but proud dad here and had to try! My son, aidan.lightfoot just wrote and self published his first novel. Signed copies will be available in the office for $3 less than Amazon, at just $10! These just showed up last night, so Sarah and I haven’t even gotten a chance to read it yet.

Thursday and Friday is the youth deer hunt! We’ve got plenty of space and a free Mora knife to every successful youth hunter that drops off here! Get those kids out there and bring them by so we can see those smiles! 😊

Kailyn here got her very first big game animal today and in our opinion, she couldn’t have picked a tastier critter to start off with!
37 antelope and 1 elk came in today! 😮
