So I wanted to point out the food bank and how it can help. On Sunday I will be teaching a cooking class to the unhoused kids program of 16-24 year Olds. I went threw the food bank as a single person customer to demonstrate all the food capable of receiving. This cart has 77 pounds of food. Consisting of a gallon of milk, a quart of shelf stable milk, a dozen eggs, 2 lbs ground beef, 1 pound pulled pork, a bag of frozen apples for a pie, a bunch of bananas, 6 squash (for a soup), yogurt, orange juice, lettuce, tomatoes, mandarin oranges, bread, lunch meat, cans of tomatoes, sauce, veggies, mac and cheese and so much more. If you go threw thoughtfully there is a lot of food you can recieve. On Sunday I will be taking this cart and demonstrating how to make health meals, for 6 kids/young adults and showing how on very tight budgets, good food can be made. I encourage you to tell friends or families to go to the food bank and get food if they are struggling, or donate food if you are in a position in life to help, and volunteer at your local places and help the community you live in, and make a difference in people's lives. Every little bit help, if everyone donated an hour or 2 of their time, a dollar or two, a can of food or to, a nugget of knowledge or two, the world would be a better place for everyone.
