Our Downtown Bozeman tasting room is a classy and comfortable remodel of a historic farm house garage with a cozy outdoor patio a

nd fireplace surrounded by native wildflowers, grasses, and trees. We serve an assortment of simple, gluten free food including local cheese and salami boards, house made humus, local bison sausage with house made 'kraut and microgreens. Lockhorn Cider House is sure to delight both Grandma and Night on the Town Brigades alike!

Release the secret weapon… bees! 🐝🌳🌸
Each spring, we release about 50 Mason Orchard Bees at our local orchard. These bees are solitary and gentle and about 80% more effective at pollinating than honey bees. Their lifecycle coincides with the apple blossom season. They lay 3-4 cacoons in natural holes in wood and in our bee houses and seal the entrance with mud. Hence the name “mason orchard bees”. These bees help pollinate the apple blossoms early and quickly, reducing the time that flowers are open and at risk of infection by heat loving fire blight bacteria.
We also spray flowers with a probiotic. This also helps protect the blossoms from fire blight infection by occupying and outcompeting the space on the vulnerable opening in the flower with beneficial bacteria.
