Coturnix quail are fast-growing, easy to care for, and begin laying at approximately 6–8 weeks of age. At 4 weeks old, these birds are already halfway to egg production and well past the fragile brooder stage.

🐣 Looking for Hatching Eggs! 🐣

I have two very dedicated broody hens that have been trying their hardest to become moms for what feels like forever. I'd love to reward their persistence with some babies of their own!

Does anyone near the Bozeman area have fertile hatching eggs that are already well into incubation—around 14 to 18 days developed? I'm hoping to place them under the hens so they can finish the incubation process and hopefully hatch and raise the chicks themselves.

The closer to Bozeman, the better, so the eggs aren't out of heat for very long during transport.
If you have any available or know someone who does, please send me a message. The girls would be thrilled to finally have some babies to raise! ❤️🐔

Harriet's first day of freedom! 🦆💦

A lovely customer suggested the name Harriet, and I absolutely loved it.

Harriet is named after Harriet Tubman (1820–1913), the legendary abolitionist who led hundreds to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Harriet Tubman suffered a traumatic head injury in her youth that left her with permanent visual impairment and seizures, yet she still went on to lead Union military expeditions and become one of the most courageous women in American history.

Since our little Harriet is blind, the name felt especially fitting for a duck who faces challenges a little differently but doesn't let them slow her down.

Today Harriet and her friends got to leave the enclosure and enjoy the pond for the first time, and I'd say they're having an absolute blast! Watching them splash, swim, and explore made my whole day.

And before anyone asks... yes, at the very end, Kanye gives one of the little ducklings a quick nip on the butt. 😂 I promise no ducks were harmed in the making of this video. Just a little pond-side supervision from the boss.

Janet was OUT cold tonight 😂🦃

Caught our young turkey sound asleep in the coop with her little head hanging down like she worked a double shift on the farm today. Farm life is exhausting when you’re this cute. ❤️

And yes… if you can hear music playing in the background, I do in fact play music for my birds. I’m aware I’ve crossed into full farm crazy territory. 🤷‍♀️🎶🐓

These goofy birds keep us laughing every single day!

Sometimes animals surprise you in the sweetest ways. 🥹🦆

When I let our five ducklings outside together, there was always one little duck that kept getting left behind. Slower than the others and struggling to keep up. After watching closely, I finally realized… this little one is blind.

It broke my heart watching her try so hard not to be left behind.

We recently hatched another batch of babies that are just over a week old and still under a heat lamp, so I decided to put her in with them. And instantly, she became their little mama. ❤️

Those babies follow her everywhere, and for the first time she’s not struggling alone anymore. I’m hoping as they grow, they’ll continue staying close to her and helping guide her through life.

Animals really do have the purest hearts. 🥹
Now the big question is… what should we name her? (Or him 😅) I’m really hoping it’s a girl.

🦆💛 Lucky Update! 💛🦆

Lucky the Pekin duck is doing fantastic and loving her new home! I’m pretty sure Lucky is actually a little lady 😄

She’s got quite the crew, too — she sticks close with her two goose buddies and their duck friends (a Pekin and a Khaki Campbell), all the same age. They’ve formed their own little flock and go everywhere together 🐥🐥

Safe to say… she’s living her best life out there 💛
