Emus at night - and a minutes old just laid emu egg 💚

For the first time - I got to see one of the Emus lay an egg tonight. It caught me by surprise (we thought they were done), and it literally dropped and bounced off the ground - thank goodness for that thick green shell!
Here is a video of the moments that followed as the pair tried to make a nest and hide it.
