There are times where blessings come from something special things. This is one of those times. I'm going to back this story up a little bit. About 5 or 6 years ago I was contacted by a young man inquiring about axis deer hunts. As I usually do I spoke with him explained the price to him and he wanted to come hunt with us. At the time he was only 15 years old and let me be honest we hear a lot of youngsters wanting to come hunting but most don't actually have the means to. Summer can and went, and fall had started when I get a call from this young man. He said "Sir I have cut grass, bucked hay bails, and done odds and in jobs to come up with this $1500 for an axis deer hunt. Here is where the story gets awesome. He said, "Sir I don't want this for me but for my little sister, but can I come with her and harvest a doe?" This REALLY took me away and when I called Peter Holmes, he had the same feelings. We brought this young man and his sister on their axis hunt and let him hunt totally on our dime. It was truly special to see such a kind-hearted person willing to put his little sister before him. Over the years we have stayed in contact and have become quite close. Let's fast-forward to recently. I get a call from this now 21-year old man wanting to now book a deer hunt for his big (little) brother. Kyle explains to me that his brother has leukemia and macular degeneration and is now legally blind. Kyle knowing that everything involved with his care and condition coupled with his passion once again books a deer hunt with us for his bother. Showing that his brother's happiness is more important this his. I had the pleasure of guiding Matt (Kyle's brother) personally, sitting in the blind with him and hearing his story made my heart swell with pride. Matt was able to harvest this 6 pointer in the picture. What makes this even more special is Matt passed up bigger deer to shoot this on because this deer had unique antlers. Matt said, "that deer is unique like me and if it's alright with you I want to harvest that one." Because of "Hunt for a Cure" Matt had a virtual reality headset that is linked to his scope so Matt can keep hunting and be seen in the picture. This year when we think about Christmas take a moment to remember stories like this because this is a real Christmas miracle. God Bless you and from all of us at the Pamamdan Ranch we what to wish each and every one of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy and Safe New Year!
