The flies at the pasture behind the dog park are noticeably worse than my other pastures. People never pick up their dog doo which is way worse than cow manure!! Time for pour on fly control.

I took Caspian to the emergency vet yesterday since he wouldn’t eat his breakfast.

Yes I know, that sounds silly because he wasn’t showing any other symptoms than laying down and not eating. He hasn’t been acting right for a few days. Turns out he has an impaction! He has to stay at least until Tuesday and get IV fluids.

Update- Sunday night, he’s passing manure, and if he continues doing well he will get some hay in the morning.

Hugest shout out to Skies The Limit Stables - top notch horse care. They really take care of your horse like it’s their own. I trust them to take the best care of Caspian, going there was a no brainer when I needed help. Not everyone will check your colicky horse at 3 AM!

You know there’s not much better than “praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.”

I’ve been stressing for 2 days because GiGi wasn’t eating much, looked kind of dehydrated, sleeping a lot.. I’ve been pushing her bottles 4/5 times a day and she didn’t want to eat! I gave her meds because she was a little wheezy.

Well tonight I saw mama finally letting her nurse. Sooo, that’s why she wasn’t hungry! She’s still a little dehydrated but grooming herself and bouncing around so I guess she’s good. Hate to waste a good bottle, but I’ll take it!!
