Last Call at Denton Grange!

Our last day to shop in-store before our summer transition will be Saturday, June 27th.

Don't worry. We'll still have plenty of great finds available online for in-store pickup while we work behind the scenes.

July is going to be a big month around here! We have some exciting improvements planned, including a greenhouse facelift and a brand-new addition that we're thrilled to share with you soon.

If you need plants, gifts, outdoor décor, or anything else we carry during July, please reach out. We'll do everything we can to help fill your needs, but keep in mind we may be working around construction and things could be a little messy at times.

We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to grow. The best is yet to come!

Who is watching Dutton Ranch? I don't know if there has ever been a truer exchange than Beth saying, "Until we have a plan," and Rip answering, "We will." That line hit me hard.

I grew up in farming. Long before Denton Grange, before the greenhouse, before I ever imagined owning a business, farming taught me grit. Some days don't go according to plan. Equipment breaks. Crops fail. Weather changes. Markets shift. Life throws curveballs, but, the work still has to be done. Denton Grange may be the dream I built, but Steele Farms is the backbone that built me.

When people see the flowers, workshops, gift shop, and greenhouse, they're seeing the bloom. They don't always see are the roots. Those roots run deep through generations of hard work, faith, sacrifice, and the belief that when life knocks you down, you get back up and keep going.

We’ve been through the greenhouse setback, rebuilding a business, long harvest days, family health challenges, and unexpected challenges life has thrown our way. There have been plenty of times when we didn't know exactly what came next, but we knew this: We would figure it out. That's the Steele Farms backbone. That's the Denton Grange spirit. We don’t always have a plan, but we've learned that if you keep your faith, keep working, and keep putting one foot in front of the other, eventually, the plan reveals itself.

Somehow, every single time, we do.

Farm life has a way of teaching hard work, patience, and perseverance, and we're thankful for the men who pass those values down to the next generation.

🌾 The wheat is out of the field, and with the rain moving in, we're officially rained out for a bit.

That means you'll find me at Denton Grange tomorrow from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM!

Stop by and visit, shop the greenhouse, ask your plant questions, or just come say hello. If you can't make it in person, be sure to tune in to our Facebook Live around 10:00 AM. We'll walk through what's looking good, talk plants, and see what kind of trouble we can get into before lunch. 🌿

I love being in the field, but the greenhouse is my happy place. There's just something about being surrounded by growing things that fills my cup.

I once read an article that said a farmer's most treasured commodity isn't corn, soybeans, wheat, cattle, or land. It's his children. And the older I get, the more I believe that's true.

Children raised on a farm learn things that can't be taught in a classroom. They learn that chores don't care if you're tired. They learn responsibility before most kids learn to drive. They learn that livestock still need feeding on holidays, crops still need tending when it's hot, and the work still has to be done whether you feel like it or not. They learn that success comes from showing up every day, not just when conditions are perfect.

Farm kids learn teamwork, sacrifice, grit, and how to solve problems when there isn't a manual to follow. They learn to respect God's creation and understand that some things are simply out of your control.

That's why so many farm-raised kids grow into some of the best employees, business owners, teachers, nurses, mechanics, and leaders you'll ever meet. They were raised knowing that hard work isn't a punishment; it's a privilege.

The crops may pay the bills, but the greatest thing a farmer ever raises is his children. And, long after the combines quit running and the fields change hands, that's the harvest that matters most.

A few flowering plants can completely change how your home feels when you pull into the driveway after a long day.

Tennessee heat can be tough on flowers, which is why we grow varieties that actually handle West Tennessee summers well.

Healthy plants should make life easier, not harder.
