2 of the unusual Apples still available at Ort Family Farm. Apricot Apple was Discovered around 1980 by Oregon apple enthusiast Lon Rombough, growing as a seedling tree by the side of a road near West Salem. It was given the name 'Apricot' because of the apricot-like flavor. Bramley Seedling originating from a pip planted in 1809, the tree still survives, and the fruit is harvested from fall to spring. a large, tart English cultivar prized for cooking, known for breaking down into a fluffy, tangy puree perfect for pies and sauces. Well over 100 varieties of fruit Trees still available, just write me at [email protected] for a list of trees or to place your orders. Photo credit One Green World and Orange Pippin
