It was a fantastic weekend. On Friday, we had a group of 5 come in for a private playday. On Saturday, we had another group of 5 for our May Playday. Lots of laughs, learning, enjoying little the moments, and connecting with your horse in a way that feels natural and fun. Focusing on all the positives that you have going on. I haven’t been posting to much lately, trying to stay in the moment with my horses and the horse/humans that have asked for help. This horse has made some huge changes, this is the 3rd session. Going from rearing, bolting, pulling, going through everything she knew that worked in the past. What changed? She was give a choice. She was allowed to work at was causing her more work. Just the change of her looking to the outside of the circle (preparing to leave) to the inside of circle (preparing to stay) is huge. What else changed? The owner. I can give the horse some new ideas, but the owner needs to change in order for the horse to change. Otherwise the horse will go right back to how they were before. The owner learned some rope handling skills, learned how it all starts with a thought and learned to give the horse some responsibility. I could not be any more proud of this team.
