Bradley Produce Farm and Greenhouse We are a multi-generational family farm specializing in fresh picked sweet corn and watermelons. We are a seasonal market open from Mid-June through late July.

We also sell flower plants and vegetable starts out of our greenhouse in the spring.

You all know itā€™s been hot!

Days over 100Ā°. Nights that barely cool off. This kind of weather makes every job a little harder!

But standing here this evening, I realized something.

The same sun that made the heat that made today so difficult is the same sun that gave us a sunset like this.

Life has a way of working like that. We donā€™t get to choose every hardship that comes our way. But we do get to choose what we become because of it.

We can let difficult seasons make us bitter, or we can let them make us better. The choice is ours.

Maybe thatā€™s why the most beautiful sunsets so often come after the hottest days.

Thereā€™s no easy way to say thisā€¦ we are officially out of purple hull peas for the year.

Thanks to all the rain we had earlier this summer, the majority of our pea crop flooded out before we ever had the chance to harvest it.

Unfortunately, that means if you are on our peas list and have not been contacted, we will not be able to fill your order this season.

We know this is disappointingā€”weā€™re disappointed too. We look forward to pea season every year, and we hate not being able to provide them for everyone who wanted them. But this is one of those situations where Mother Nature made the decision for us.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for supporting our farm through both the good years and the challenging ones. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Thank you all for making the drive to Bradley this summer! šŸŒ½

The sweet corn is officially gone for the season, and we canā€™t thank you enough for your incredible support.

We know the roads arenā€™t the smoothest, gas isnā€™t cheap, and there are plenty of places you could have bought your produce. The fact that so many of you chose to support our family farm means more to us than you know.

Every ear of corn, every watermelon, every visit, every kind word, and every Facebook share has helped make this season one weā€™ll never forget.

This Saturday, July 25 will be the final day for sweet corn for the 2026 season. We will have corn daily through Saturday.

šŸ‰ Story timeā€¦ and a sale. šŸ‰

As many of you know, we lost our dear brother, Delaney, very suddenly and unexpectedly in February of this year.

In recent years, he wasnā€™t involved in the day-to-day operation of Bradley Produce, but he played an integral part in helping build this business into what it is today. And even though he wasnā€™t working here much anymore, he certainly wasnā€™t a stranger around the farm.

Del loved watermelon.

Many afternoons during watermelon season, heā€™d show up and head straight for the cooler, hoping to find a chilled melon. Somehow, he always seemed to know just the right time to stop by! Weā€™d cut one open and dig in.

But I think more than the watermelon, he loved the conversation.

Weā€™d bounce business ideas and strategies back and forth, and before long weā€™d be talking about family, faith, and the deeper things of life. More often than not, the conversation lasted until the watermelon had nothing left to give.

So this week, weā€™d like to honor his memory in a way that just feels right.
