The reason for the season is here folks
Slowlllyyy will be picking over next several weeks.
Squash: $1 a pound. Bagged up in netting bags. As of today, there is acorn, and mashed potato squash (yes it’s white, has texture of mashed potatoes once baked and oddly even taste like potatoes a bit). Wife’s favorite.
I got some of the best buttercup squash we’ve ever grown this year. Stupid proud of it. Best variety I have ever seen. Lots of research went into this. The breed is bonbon. Like the ice cream.
Kershaw squash (huge white ones with green stripes): $6 each. Won’t regret it. Don’t be nervous. Maybe im crazy but I think it taste like buttercup. Color is the same. For $6, that one on far right is 17 pounds. Best bang for your buck. I froze so many bags and ate it all spring
Pink banana squash: no description necessary here. New to us this year. Already my new favorite. Never ate it yet but again it’s a beautiful squash looking color. Found a moldy one last week so fed it to chickens so that’s how I know.
All other white, red, grey, and orange pumpkins: $6. I have lots of grey just haven’t picked many yet
Sugar pies: $3 each.
