This weekend we will be extracting our summer of 2025 honey. We'll get about 100 pounds. The boxes of honey (called supers) are so full I can hardly lift them.
If you have allergies or if you just like good local raw honey this is the place.
Give us a call or just stop by. We'll have many different size jars ready to go.

It is now formally allergy season. Honey is reputed to be a good source of anti allergy. Come and get some before its all gone.

If you're looking at this post why not call and purchase some honey. It's good for everything from sweeting your tea and coffee, to helping cure a sore throat, to putting on your toast or English muffin in the morning. Cut yourself? Put a bit of honey on the cut, put a bandage on it and it will help heal the cut more quickly. Honey never goes bad. If it crystallizes put the jar in "warm" water on the stove and stir occasionally. The best part is licking the spoon after most of the honey drains off back into the jar (-:

September 16, 2021. Checked the hives a few days ago. The frames that hold the honey are full, full full. The honey looks beautiful and tastes great. We'll most likely extract during the week of September 20th. Looking forward to a yield of well more than 100 pounds. If you use honey for baking or in your tea or if you just take some each day for allergies c'mon down. It's local and raw, only slightly warmed and filtered through cheesecloth and absolutely delicious.

This is Pete and his friend Paul putting the bees in the box. If you have any fear of bees you don't want to be around during while the bees are being put in. Also if you ever hang around bee hives you WILL get stung.

This little container has the queen in it with five or six worker bees in it to attend to the queen. On the ends of the little container there is something we call candy. The worker bees eat the candy and once there is a little hole in the end of the container the queen comes out and goes to work.

This is the inside of the box where the bees live. This particular frame already has some honey it from last fall. Three or four frames have to be taken out of the box so we can shake the new bees into the box. Then the frames are put back in.
