Thank you to the West Virginia Department of Agriculture for featuring us for Wednesday! We love providing fresh, hydroponic microgreens, lettuce, tomatoes, and kale to our Mercer County community all year round.

It's Wednesday! Marcum Mountain Farms knows how to grow🌱. This Mercer Co. agribusiness focuses on fresh produce straight from their hydroponic greenhouse. Whether it's June or January, you can count on tasty, just-picked microgreens and more!

Plant now, eat all summer! $3.00 each — strong, healthy starts, ready to take off once they hit the ground (or a pot).

We've got three proven varieties this season —

San Marzano: Known for sauce, but don’t overlook them fresh. They’re sweet, not too acidic, and hold together well in salads and bruschetta. When you do cook them, they turn into a thick, rich sauce without a lot of time on the stove.

Husky Cherry Red: Compact plants, huge output of sweet cherry tomatoes all season long. Great for snacking and salads.

Mortgage Lifter: Old-school heirloom. Big, meaty slicers with excellent flavor, the kind you want on a sandwich.

Pick what fits your garden, and your kitchen. Good plants, fair price! First come, first served.

Picked up hydroponic lettuce from a few grocery stores and put them on the scale next to ours. Results:
Store: 134–161 grams for $3.15–$3.29 per head.
Ours: 286–705 grams for $3.00 per head.
Our lettuce is up to 5x heavier, larger, more beautiful and fresh, and costs less…delivered!

😋We love discovering new kitchen tricks💚
Here’s one we recently tried and can’t believe how well it works — for the perfect raw kale salad, place washed, torn leaves in a KitchenAid mixer with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic salt (or your favorite seasoning). Let the dough hook do the “massaging” for 5–10 minutes, and you’ll have tender, flavorful kale without all the hand work.

Tiny greens, BIG POWER!

Did you know microgreens are baby veggies that can have up to 40x more nutrients than full-grown vegetables? 🥦They’re the easiest way to give your meals a superfood boost without changing what you eat.

Fresh, crisp, and ready to sprinkle on anything - sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads, grain bowls, fresh fruit - just $5 for 3.2 oz — grown right here on the farm.
