Meade County FFA was very fortunate to receive a Raising Hope Grant from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture this year. These funds are utilized to provide farm safety, health and rescue initiatives for communities. Our members used these funds to purchase supplies to create 50 First Aid kits that will be distributed to local farmers. These members are truly living out the motto by !

Today the Meade County FFA competed at UK Field Day! A great day was had by all!!! Big thanks to all of those that put on the event!

Huge thanks to Flaherty Elementary and Flaherty Primary for hosting the Meade County FFA for our Ag Day! Students of both schools were able to interact with equipment, small animals and large animals. They were able to learn about production and most importantly, safety! A great day was had by all!!

Congratulations to Case Redmon for being named the 2025-2026 Lincoln Trail FFA Regional Star Farmer! Case will now go on to compete at the State FFA Convention against 11 other members from across the state to see who is named the Kentucky FFA State Star Farmer. Congratulations Case, we are so proud of you!!

Spring Break Trip ‘26 is in the books!
Day 1: We visited the world famous Claiborne Horse Farm in Lexington and learned about their breeding operation and the successful racehorses that have been born or bred there! Next stop was the farm at EKU! We had a great visit at their dairy and sheep operation and learned about all the technology advances they have made on the farm. Our last stop was at Cornett Farm Fresh where we learned about all of the local produce they raise for our communities!

Day 2: We went to WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge where we got to experience all sorts of hands on activities that challenged our minds! Then we visited Ripley’s Aquarium where we had the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how they complete water testing, quarantine new and sick animals and how they introduce fish to the tanks! Last stop do the day was at Dolly’s Stampede where we enjoyed dinner and a show.

A huge thanks to the Meade County FFA Alumni for making this trip possible for our members! What a great start to Spring Break!

Results are in from the Lincoln Trail Regional FFA Paperwork Day! These members have put in countless hours towards their SAE projects and their hard work has not gone unnoticed! These outstanding members continue to make us very proud! Those members who placed first will now compete at the state competition!

Celebrating All in for Ag Education week today at Barry Hahn Primary in the 3rd grade classrooms! FFA members taught a mini lesson and read the book, “How did that get in my lunchbox?” Thank you BHP teachers for allowing us in your classrooms as we celebrate this awesome week!

Meade County FFA had an outstanding day at the Lincoln Trail Regional FFA day!!! These members worked countless hours before and after school preparing their speeches and practicing parliamentary procedure. We have 9 speakers and the senior parliamentary procedure team moving onto state convention this summer! Way to go Meade County FFA!

Day 2 of FFA Week took us to Feeding America where we packaged over 1,400 meals for school aged children who are food insecure! One of our favorite activities every year that impacts children in our community. These members are true servant leaders!!
