Goats can get in more trouble. Teddy Bear got her leg stuck in a small crack near the ramp to the parlor, a ramp.she has walked for 2 years! Long story short , it's broken and she now has a cast from hoof to hip! She is also 4 and a half months pregnant, due in a week or 2 , and can't get up on her own! This happened 2 weeks ago go and she still can't get up on her own but once up she walks short distances which is an improvement! Never a dull moment around here!

Who goes to Maine in January!?! We did! Tired Farmers who needed a break and can only get away when we are not milking which means January or February. It was cold and snowy but nice to get away. We relaxed, rested, and I read many hours in this lovely sunroof! And we came home last week just in time for bitter cold and a major snowstorm! Thank you to our son Joseph Cijka who took care of all the animals while we were gone! Love you!! Now we get ready for kidding season the end of February.

Several weeks ago our old, too large bulk tank died! We ordered a new, smaller one which arrived a week later. It fit tightly into our milk house until last week when the old tank was smoothly removed by Stephen, Joseph Cijka , and Benjamin who will use it for sap! Thank you for clearing out the old and making room for the new!!
